This is a sci-fi film I worked on while at SCAD. Not only did I serve as editor, but also as the Digital Imaging Technician, copying data from cards to hard drives and ensuring all the footage was backed up properly. I made rough cuts regularly, even before shooting had finished. Once in post, I worked with an entire team of visual effects artists, exporting sequences and getting them just what they needed, when they needed it.
This music video was produced for the band SHADOWRAPTR, which plays a psychedelic fusion of jazz and rock. As the song progresses from a mellow sound to a more experimental sound, the cuts change from smooth to chaotic, matching the music.
What started as a personal project has become something much more. I film my life — myself, my friends, and the world around me — on a daily basis and put it online for the world to see. With over 600 videos (and counting) under my belt, this long-term project has allowed me to become a better, more efficient editor on a daily basis. It's also earned me an ever-increasing online presence.
